Hi, I’m Niko. I work as a colorist and DP, always chasing beautiful light and color that feel right for the story.
As a colorist, I’m drawn to images that feel honest and natural. Mood, texture, and narrative guide how I approach color and how far a grade should go. Analog footage has always been an important inspiration for me. I love its character, imperfections, and the way it lets images breathe. That sensibility often finds its way into my grading work, whether I’m working on a project locally or remotely.
As a DP, I’m constantly exploring new visual solutions. I enjoy searching for strong lighting concepts, interesting ways to move the camera, and perspectives that support the story. I like pushing slightly beyond my comfort zone, because that’s often where the most interesting images start to emerge.
Collaboration is an essential part of my work on set. I value close cooperation with directors as well as the camera and lighting departments, especially when things get intense. I tend to stay calm under pressure, which usually helps everyone else stay calm too.
I enjoy working in a relaxed, collaborative atmosphere built on trust and openness. Keeping things clear and uncomplicated usually leads to the best results.
